Under utilized and in a terrific mature oak forest. Spacious sites with clean toilets. Good jump off location for a multitude of hikes.

Quiet, very well kept, water handpump wells available, great trails nearby. great place to make homebase and do day hikes around the lake and hills.
Love camping here. It's primitive - no showers, flush toilets, or any kind of modern amenities but we're ok with that. The campground down the road was completely full yet there was hardly anyone else around us.... because it's primitive I guess... we had a bear visit us a few times and there are all kinds of hiking trails...Awesome
