My mother in law purchased a mower about 13 no ago had to get repaired last summer took about 8 weeks to get back it wouldn't start to begin with didn't use it due to getting it back to late in season tried to start today same problem now they want me to take to their repair shop. Not going to happen. Mother in law is in her 80s is this really how they treat our senior citizens really bad business
I dropped my lawnmower off at the Bradford location on 04/21/2016 for a part that had broken (mower is only 2 years old). I was told it was under warranty and repair should take about a week and 1/2. I had to call to check status after 2 weeks and was informed that my mower was still sitting in the Bradford holding room. Apparently they wait for 10 broken items before they ship repairs out to Olean!
Horrible procedure/customer service! The month long customer repair service has come to an upsetting conclusion!
They offered me a $25.00 gift card for my troubles.....

My refrigerator just died went to sears hometown store they helped me get one quickly. Got it home before any food spoiled one happy customer !!
Following sears warranty protocol, I decided to go and take my mower to Olean (Scotts lawn repair) myself and made arrangements to have this done. I would have chosen to make the repairs myself, but sears stated that the mower was under warranty so I continued to trust their service.
Two weeks later I'm informed that NOTHING is under warranty now and the repair cost are out of my pocket. I called Bradford store to see what was going on and was told that they would take care of the situation and get back to me. Again, they failed to call (stated they couldn't find my contact information?) to give me feedback. Today I personally stopped back to the Bradford store and was told there was nothing they could do. I paid to have Sears hold my mower for a month & cause grief with poor service. Very disappointed with the service. I didn't even want to offer one star.
