After reading the one review prior to mine, I had to comment. Professional and courteous so far. However, to the one and only review, how could you have known what went on in the dentist's chair if you didn't even go in with your daughter? Perhaps you should have told them you were going in and accompanied her through her cleaning ordeal. And if they wouldn't allow this, then make an appointment for her regular dentist in State College where she would have had a more positive dental experience? Sorry, just a thought.
I would give zero stars but im unable to. They dont care about a child needs or if they are scared. I took my little 3 year old whom has anxiety. Usually she goes to state collage but for a cleaning i figure this would be okay. Not only is jalf the staff rude but Not only where they more concerned about me NOT being in the room but they held my 35lb child down has she screamed to look at her teeth when the nurse did just fine talking to her. She was even able to bursh them. The densit on the other hand was rude foul and wrong for what she just did. She has a child deathly afraid of the densit now. Way to go. I will never regert taking my child and walking out of that place. Ever. I will never recommend this place to anyone. She didnt even try to talk to her she just grabbed her face and tryed to pry her little mouth open. I NEVER want to hear my child cry that way again you should be ashamed of yourselves and your clinic. Foe you to know a child has anxiety and not even speak to hear when you walked in was a huge red flag. I will forever take my child else where even if i need to pay out of pocket.
Excellent!
Unfortunetly, while doing a cleaning, a filling on one of my teeth was picked out as well as my enamel, leaving exposed what is known as dentin. Dentin is a very sensitive area of the tooth. Since this has happened, I have had a lot of pain and sensitivity every time I eat or drink. After coming back, they had no idea what the problem was, so they drilled my tooth down ever more, only making the issue worse as you could imagine. My tooth is now permanently damaged from this place, and I will need a costly ($500-1000) procedure that is not covered under my insurance at all. I learned of the problem after having gone to another dentist. I highly suggest paying cash for an office call or a cleaning rather than letting this clinic handle your teeth.
